The Original Flower Fairies ™ Collection

The enchanting Flower Fairies ™ are licensed replicas of the original drawings from the numerous books by Cicely Mary Barker. The characters enchant with their charm. Each character creates a wonderful unity between flowers, children and fairies. The first book Flower Fairies in Spring appeared in 1923, and a whole series was to follow. Cicely Mary Barker was born in Croydon, south London in 1895 and began drawing as a child. Because of her poor health, she was home-schooled and taught herself to paint. Her father, also an artist, supported and encouraged her talent. Incidentally, the model for the drawings were the children from her sister’s kindergarten, whose charm she matched with the plants from the woods and fields. Today, the Flower Fairies ™ are popular worldwide. Fiebiger Floristik has been a licensee for the Flower Fairies ™ figures since 1996.
